Welcome to the Santander UK Shareholder website. Please read below to learn about our plans for the next few months and how you can participate in or win tickets to our events.
In June, we held our Annual General Meeting, in Santander, Northern Spain. Thank you to all those shareholders who returned their voting forms. Your participation is important to us.
As you may have seen in the Chairman's letter, Santander made the highest cash dividend payout amongst all global banks, following our 2008 financial results. You may have also seen our recent poster and advertising campaign in local branches and in the media. This campaign highlights the benefits of being a Santander shareholder. A copy of one of the advertisements is featured on the back cover of your latest Focus magazine, which you should have received in May. If you know of anyone who would like more information about Santander or purchasing shares they should call the helpline number 0871 384 2000.
Our Free Purchase programme is now operating monthly so that shareholders will be able to buy Santander shares regularly without paying any dealing fees. The next free purchase dealing dates are 10 July and 14 August. If you are interested in participating in the next free purchase, click here to download the requisite forms.
As summer is fast approaching, it is time to register your interest for our outdoor concert season. We are returning to Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre for the third year running due to popular demand. Cick here to be directed to the shareholder calendar listing a number of our forthcoming events. I am also pleased to announce that the Santander Shareholder Department will be hosting our second Shareholder’s Golf Cup this summer on 13th and 14th September, full details of the event can be found here.
Finally, from September, the Shareholder Department, including myself, will once again be visiting various areas of the UK, meeting shareholders and getting your views. Details of other events can be found in the Calendar, so if we are in your area, please contact us if you would like to attend an event.
