The Wallace Collection
On 25th September 2007 Santander celebrated its 150th anniversary with a cocktail reception at the Wallace Collection, home to one of Europe’s finest collections of works of art, paintings, furniture, armour and porcelain.
More than 400 people attended the event including shareholders, clients and journalists. Also in attendance were senior members of the bank including Santander’s CEO, Alfredo Sáenz, Abbey’s CEO, Antonio Horta – Osório and Abbey’s chairman, Lord Burns.
Shareholders enjoyed a champagne reception and were then given the opportunity to view the vast collections of art and antiques that are on display at Hertford House where the collection is held.
