How to Become a Shareholder
Whether you want to become a Santander shareholder or buy further shares to add to your existing shareholding, buying Santander shares is a simple process. Buying shares through Shareview Dealing, administered by the company registrars, Equiniti, means that your shares will be held on your behalf in the Santander Nominee Service.
Santander are offering a number of commission free share purchase dates throughout 2008 for existing shareholders. The remaining dates will be in September and finally in December.

Sale of Shares
You can sell your Santander shares through Abbey Sharedealing on 0800 169 2001. They will advise you of their charges and payment methods.
If you sell your shares through Abbey Sharedealing, subject to compliance with certain formalities, they will be able to assist you with the Spanish Tax formalities. More information can be found here.

Alternatively, you may also be able to sell shares through a stockbroker or high-street bank with a share dealing facility.
