On 10 February, a number of shareholders braved Nottingham's snow to attend a cocktail reception at Nottingham Castle's famous Long Gallery and Museum.
Those that attended the event were lucky enough to view the gallery's fine art collection including many works by famous British painters including several with Nottinghamshire connections - Laura Knight, William Nicholson and Richard Parkes Bonington.
José Rojo spoke at the reception updating shareholders on the latest Santander news, happily reporting that Santander had acheived over €8bn in profit for 2009, a 1% increase over 2008's profit.
