The Shareholder Relations Team hosted a champagne and canapé reception at The Athenaeum in the heart of Liverpool.  A grand reminder of the power of Northern business enterprise, The Athenaeum was built in the 18th Century and fashioned on the traditional men’s clubs of London. With prospective membership possible by invitation of two other members only, the club provided salubrious surroundings for distinguished members such as Charles Scott Sherrington and Quentin Hughes.  The heart of the Athenaeum is its library, one of the greatest proprietary libraries in the United Kingdom.
