Banco Santander registered attributable net profit of EUR 8.181 billion

Banco Santander has published the 2010 results. Santander registered attributable profit of 8.181 billion Euros. Profit declined by 8.5% from 2009, basically as a result of the new regulations on provisions issued by the Bank of Spain, which took 472 million Euros out of the net earnings for the third quarter. The good results make it possible to continue to make a total payment of 0.60 Euros per share to Santander shareholders for the second year running, a target which the Group expects to achieve once again in the year 2011.  Read more
