Santander Shareholder Reward Account is perfect if you like to be rewarded for saving.

• Receive a rate of 0.50% gross/AER (variable) plus a variable rate bonus of 2.00% gross/AER (variable) for the first 12 months if you make no withdrawals.
• You can withdraw from your account at any time.  However, if you make a withdrawal a lower rate of 0.10% gross/AER (variable) and no bonus is earned on the whole balance for that month.  If one withdrawal is made the rate will be 0.47% gross/AER (variable) and the bonus will not be earned for that month resulting in an overall rate of 2.30% gross/AER (variable).
• Save from £500 up to £100,000 in your account.
• Manage your savings at your convenience either through Santander's UK branches, cash machines, over the phone or via online banking.

AER stands for Annual Equivalent Rate and shows what the interest rate would be if we paid interest and added it to your account each year. The gross rate is the interest rate we pay before income tax is taken off. Rates may change and we pay interest each year on the anniversary of account opening.
