1st Santander Shareholders' Golf Cup...
We are delighted to present the Santander Shareholders' Golf Cup which will take place in the impressive Vale Golf Spa Resort (Hensol Park, Hensol, Vale of Glamorgan) on the 15th and 16th September.
The Santander Shareholders' Cup will hopefully become an annual event that will provide our shareholders with the opportunity to enjoy the excitement of the competition, the outstanding natural beauty of the resort and to meet members of the Shareholder department,
All the participants will not only enjoy the two championship courses (including the award-winning Wales National Course) but also the recreational facilities, including the biggest spa in Wales.
In addition, we are going to offer you the opportunity to invite a guest of your choice to join you. They can enjoy the atmosphere of the competition or the Spa facilities while you compete to win the cup.
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THIS OFFER IS NOW CLOSED AND THOSE THAT HAVE WON INVITATIONS TO PLAY IN THE TOURNAMENT WILL BE NOTIFIED SHORTLY.
1st Santander Shareholders Golf Cup - Itinerary
Monday 15th September 2008.
Transport:
Santander will provide transfer from Cardiff airport or train station to The Vale Resort. Please ensure your flight number and times of arrival and departure (if you are flying to Cardiff) or your times of arrival and departure (if you are using the train) are included on the Registration form.
Guests can arrive from 10:00am but please note the hotel check in is from 3:00pm.
Spa:
The Spa is open for treatments for non-golfing guests.
Guests are allowed one free treatment and can choose from one treatment from the list below. They treatment can either be on Monday or Tuesday (treatment time 1 hour):
• Vale Spa Indulgence Facial
• Gerard’s Spa Prescriptive Facial
• Vale Full Body Swedish Massage
• Vale Full Body Aromatheraphy Massage
• Reflexology
• Gerard’s Bamboo massage

Leisure Time:
All guests can enjoy the facilities at the Leisure Club which include swimming-pool, tennis courts, squash court, gym and classes (please find enclosed a leaflet showing the timetable). Classes can be booked on the day but if you or your guest want to attend a specific classes it is best to book in advance, this needs to be included on the Registration form.
If guests would like to book an additional round of golf on Monday, this needs to be included on the Registration form.
Monday evening schedule
07:30pm Cocktail Reception
A pre-dinner cocktail reception will be held in the Castle Suite.
08:00pm-11:00pm Black Tie Gala dinner
Gala dinner
The Gala Dinner (black tie) to be held in the Castle Suite. The dinner menu is set out below; if you or your guest has any dietary requirements, please let us know on the Registration form).

After dinner there will be a speech from José Rojo (Director UK Shareholders) and full details of the Golf competition (including groups) will be announced.
Tuesday 16th September 2008.
Breakfast is served from 6.30am to 10.00am in The Vale Bar & Grill.
Spa:
Spa treatments for non-golfing guests. Details as per Monday 15th September.
Golf:
Registration from 8.30am in the Tredodridge Suite – situated in the Golf Club.
9.00am Shotgun start on the Wales National course.
Format: Full Handicap Stableford competition. Men to use yellow tees, ladies to use red tees. Dress code and rules – please see attached sheets.
Golf buggies will be available for each golfing pair.
Trip to Cardiff:
10:00am-01:00pm: If there is sufficient interest we may be able to organise a trip to Cardiff city for non-golfers. If your guest would like spend the morning in Cardiff please let us know on the Registration form.
Leisure Time:
Guests can enjoy all the facilities at the Leisure Club or just relax by the swimming pool. Details as per Monday 15th September
Prize giving and farewell:
2.30pm: Presentation to the winners of the golf competition. Followed by buffet lunch and glass of champagne served in the Tredodridge Suite.
Departure (approx 3.30pm):
Transfers for guests from The Vale Resort to Cardiff Airport and train station.
Check out: Please note that the hotel check-out time is before 11:00am so non-golfers will be required to check-out and, if they wish, store their luggage in the hotel until departure time. Golfers may shower in the Golf Club after the competition if they wish.
