Santander at London's National
Gallery
On 6th May 2008, Santander invited some of London's UK shareholders to the London National Gallery for a food and cocktail reception at the gallery's famous Sainsbury wing. The shareholders were joined by many of the bank's affiliates who had travelled over to London from Spain and were able to listen to a speech from Angel Santodomingo, Santander's director of investor relations. In his speech Mr Santodomingo spoke about Santander's 1st quarter record profits of EUR2.206 Billion which were announced on 1st May 2008, click here to find out more about the results.
Those that attended the evening at the National Gallery were also able to hear a speech from Mr. José Rojo, director of London's Santander Shareholder Department. Mr. Rojo addressed the 200 guests in attendance from the Sainsbury wing where shortly afterwards guests were able to have guided tours to see some of the magnificent works of art on display.
The next event on the UK shareholder calendar is a cocktail reception that will be held in Bath at the famous Roman Pump Rooms, where those that attend will be able to hear a speech from Mr. Rojo and meet members of the UK shareholder department along with other shareholders. As always there will be a canapé and champagne reception. For those shareholders invited there will also be the opportunity to have a guided tour of the Pump Rooms themselves. We have invited several shareholders from the area but still have a few places left so if you live nearby and would like to attend then please email us at shareholders@santander.com, if there are places remaining, we will send you an invitation.
