IMPORTANT INFORMATION
As previously advised, with effect from 12 July 2010 the Santander UK Nominee Service which is provided by Capita IRG Trustees Limited has been discontinued. All former participants in this Nominee have been transferred to the Santander Nominee Service provided by Equiniti Financial Services Limited. To register for on-line services you will need your new shareholder reference number which will be provided to you along with your August dividend mailing. If, however, you require confirmation of your new number before then, please call the shareholder helpline on 0871 384 2000* and you will be provided with your new number.

What is a nominee service?
A nominee service enables you to hold your entitlement to Santander shares in the UK, rather than in Spain. It provides a way for you to settle transactions on your Santander shares without having to contact brokers in Spain or exchange currency when buying or selling Santander shares. It will also allow you to receive your Santander dividend payments in Sterling. The Santander Nominee Service was put in place to make being an investor in Santander easier for our shareholders.
